Mugabe and Castro

Authored by Michael Pate on April 20th, 2003 at 7:13 PM

Robert Mugabe greeting Fidel Castro in 2000 One downside of the recent attention paid to Iraq is the fact that no one was paying adequate attention to what was going in two of the world’s other dictatorships. Robert Mugabe has murdered and tortured hundred of his political opponents in Zimbabwe. Fidel Castro has launched a crackdown on political dissent as well as executing three hapless hijackers. One would hope that those who sought the peaceful liberation of Iraq would now turn their attention to these countries.
