PageRank is Not Dead

Authored by Michael Pate on May 25th, 2003 at 8:52 PM

Jeremy Zawodny says that pagerank is now dead. His evidence for this is that doing a search for the keyword “jeremy” causes his home page to come up higher than his blog. My thought is, how many people would search for “jeremy?” Most people are going to search for multiple words, like say “second superpower.” I think this utter fascination which who comes up first when using a single keyword is interesting as an intellectual exercise, but has absolutely no impact on Google or their business model.
