New York Times Resignation

Authored by Michael Pate on June 5th, 2003 at 5:15 PM

The thing was, any reporter could make up a story. It could happen to any newspaper. The bad part about Jayson Blair was that he had been doing it for years and they did nothing about it. If the San Antonio Express-News had not raised the issue publicly, Howell Raines and Gerald Boyd would still be letting Blair get away with it.
