About the Competition

Authored by Michael Pate on July 4th, 2003 at 5:31 PM

About.com has relaunched all their sites using the MoveableType weblog publishing platform. There are 400 sites in the network and this development is significant because, according to this article, it’s likely the single largest addition of content to the blogoshere and all the sites are advertiser supported lending another proof point to the idea that advertiser supported weblogs are not just a pipe dream. - Steve Hall

One thing I always wanted to do is to pull together experts in combination with an online advertising agency to build an About.com on the cheap using weblogs. I think I have the advertising agency, would any be interested in doing this? - John Robb
