Dave has a Point

Authored by Michael Pate on August 5th, 2003 at 7:38 PM

A pointer says not only that you respect the person you’re pointing to, not only that you respect yourself, but most important that you respect your readers. They are entitled to know how you formed your idea or opinion, who you learned from, so they can learn too. They know you’re standing on other people’s shoulders because everyone learned from someone. Pointers are cheap. - Dave Winer
