Ralph Nader on the Issues

If I were running as a Democrat for President, I would run on this set of issues. He did oppose the war in Iraq, but it seems a rather marginal issue on the list.

I think the worst damage that Howard Dean did to the Democratic Party this year is irreperable. John Kerry and John Edwards could have run as Pro-War on Terror candidates who differed with George Bush on domestic policy issues. Instead, because they lacked the fortitude to wishstand the inane attacks on Dean and Clark, they have turned the election into a referendum on the War of Terror. Last time that happened, the Democrats lost badly. I have little doubt that will happen again.

I think that the Nader Candidacy is a wake-up call for the Democratic Party. They need to realize that appealing to a small minority on their electorate is not the way to choose a candidate. And the people they were appealing to were not the people they needed, anyway.

stupid people do not vote for a man like nader who has no electoral votes,and never will. just vote for bush, nader got bush in last time,nader is a liar, he said he would drop out last time if bush could win, he didn't , the rest is sad history, no electoral votes, no president, what part of this do you ninny's not understand. stupid people that don't know about the important electoral vote should be banned from voting,
