I found this exchange interesting.
The Oklahoma City case — again, one of the criticisms has been that one of the problems of the case law approach to intelligence is that, once you focus on a convicting particular terrorists, that there has to be a hypothesis of the case and that’s where all of the investigative resources are put in. In the case of Oklahoma City, the hypothesis was that there were two Americans and they acted alone. There’s a new book out now, as you probably know, called “The Third Terrorist,” that has new information that begs for further investigation showing the links or purporting very significant links between Terry Nichols and Ramzi Yousef in the Philippines, and also links between the two perpetrators and Hussein al-Husseini, the Iraqi, perhaps, agent. Are you satisfied that you ran all of these potential Al Qaida links to ground with McVeigh and Nichols? - John F. Lehman
Well, other than that book, which I haven’t read, you know, I don’t know any other credible source with respect to that kind of a link. No, I have not run those links myself. I certainly was not aware of them when I was FBI director. I know that there is a review going on with respect to some of the matters that have been raised by his attorney in connection with the state murder prosecution that’s ongoing. I guess I don’t want to say anything with respect to that case as it’s being tried now by a judge and a jury. But I don’t know of any connections, except the one you’ve just mentioned, between Ramzi Yousef and that terrorist act. - Louis Freeh
The book refered to is, of course, The Third Terrorist: The Middle East Connection to the Oklahoma City Bombing by Jayna Davis. Since it will not officially be released until tomorrow, I am not surprised Director Freeh has not read it.
The investigative reporter who first broke the story of the Middle East connection, Davis shows why the FBI closed the door, what further evidence exists to prove the Iraqi connection, why it has been ignored and what makes it more relevant now than ever. - World Net Daily
What I find interesting is that no one seems to be aware of Others Unknown: Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City Bombing Conspiracy by Stephen Jones and Peter Israel. For more on the connection between Osama Bin Laden, Ramzi Yousef, and Terry McNichols, you need to go no further than page 170.
As far as whether the Director should have known before, David Schippers quoted Davis in an interview.
I went to the FBI with everything I have here, and they refused to take it. - Jayna Davis
And when she appeared on The O’Reilley Factor back in March of 2001.
We called the FBI and they refused to comment, as usual. - Bill O’Reilley
It seems there just may be a reason why he seems so unaware. The question I have to wonder about, though, is anyone in the FBI going to read the book now?
I wonder if you have seen this recent news story from Yahoo news?
Document: Oklahoma City Bombing Was Taped

I am not sure exactly how it all fits in but I am wondering whether there is more to the bombing then we have been told. If true I wonder who benefits from keeping it quiet.
As someone named Terry McNichols, I sure wish you hadn't made a typo when referring to Terry Nichols. I have enough trouble with having a name as close to his! I was searching my own name on the internet and came across this reference to myself!
