Has anyone besides me noticed how much Oliver Willis dislikes Saudi Arabia? I noted it a while back when he was advocating the invasion of Saudi Arabia over Iraq.
Al Qaeda’s links to Saudi Arabia are clear, the links with Iraq more opportunistic than cohesive and post-Saddam. Bush essentially said: to defeat Al Qaeda, we’ll fight an unrelated war in Iraq. - Oliver Willis
His views have certainly not changed in recent times.
I wonder. How many more Americans have to die to stop us from cozying up to the Saudis? - Oliver Willis
Of course, when Oliver attacks the Bush Administration over Saudi Policy, the attack carries over to the Clinton Administration as well.
Well, I think it’s quite critical not only because the Saudis are willing to contribute financially but because they have been friends of the United States. - Bill Clinton
In fact, Bill Clinton is still working to improve our relationship.
Clinton said Saudi Arabia had to address ways of broadening political participation in the absolute monarchy “without compromising your faith and culture.” Saudi policy “cannot be based in the long run on fighting change because you cannot fight the tide of change,” he said. - Daily Times
It is too bad that too many Democrats are so quick to ignore the wisdom of William Jefferson Clinton.
