John Kerry for Mayor

Authored by Michael Pate on July 25th, 2004 at 11:37 PM

The would-be Democratic nominee recently had this to say about fire protection.

I don’t think we should be building fire houses in Baghdad and shutting them down here at home. - John Kerry

When the question is about terrorism, he gives a different sort of answer.

I don’t think about it; I can’t control it. - John Kerry

While I undestand that the closing of fire houses is a major issue in at least one city, it makes little difference to me. If John Kerry wants to run for Mayor or City Council, that may be a worthwhile issue. But whether he is elected President or not, it won’t make a bit of difference while his decisions in the War on Terror would matter.

While I am was working on this entry, I discovered Ryan Gabbard had a similar reaction.
