Four Guys and a W

William Turnipseed says he doesn’t remember George W. Bush being in Alabama with the 187th.

George Bush wasn’t even famous back then, so why would I notice this outsider showing up at a couple of meetings. I just wouldn’t. - William Turnipseed

Bob Mintz says he does not as well.

I never met the man and I’m sorry I didn’t because he’s somebody important. - Bob Mintz

In fact, he seems much surer now than he was a few months ago.

I cannot say he was not there. Absolutely positively was not there. I cannot say that. I cannot say he didn’t do his duty. - Bob Mintz

Interestingly enough, Bill Calhoun does remember him being there.

I saw him each drill period. He was very aggressive about doing his duty there. He never complained about it. He was very dedicated to what he was doing in the Guard. He showed up on time and he left at the end of the day. - Bill Calhoun

And apparenly, Joe LeFevers was fortunate enough to meet him.

I was going in the orderly room over there one day, and they said, “This is Lt. Bush.” They pointed him out to me. - Joe LeFevers

Is this is a slow news days or am I just experiencing a flashback? This is the most pathetic non-story I think I have ever seen. Or maybe it is just a sign of desperation.
